Ex 17.10 Your company wishes to move from using desktop applications to accessing the same functionality remotely as services. Identify the risks that might arise and suggest how these risks might be reduced.
When moving from local desktop applications to remote services, there is the possibility of losing access due to network issues. This would cause all work that requires those assets to come to a complete stop. To resolve this, there could be a local server that users could work from then the server would update the remote service once connection was restored. There is also security risks involved with using a remote service. Strict security standards would have to be enacted to prevent the leak of personal/financial information.
